Say Yes to Your Partner – Learn the True Love Language
Love is described as the emotion we feel when another individual or group of people makes us feel good. Love encompasses a wide range of positive and powerful emotional states, from the purest spiritual virtue to the most mundane form of physical pleasure, the most passionate love. When love is in action, it brings out the best in us and in others. It can be described as our natural defense against the negative aspects of life, such as anger, fear, envy, jealousy, stress and lack of self-confidence. When love is lacking in our lives, we can fall into a viscous cycle of negative emotions and thoughts that bring about self-inflicted suffering.
There are four love languages that affect our lives in varying degrees. These are physical touch, verbal expression, body motion and quality time. Quality time represents the bonding of two individuals in a mutually beneficial relationship. Physical touch, on the other hand, is having physical closeness with your partner. It may involve hugs, kisses, touching and other forms of physical contact.
Verbal expression is the most common way to express love. This can be done through casual communication, through singing lyrics, through poems, stories and more. Body motion is used to express feelings of love. This may be using dance, singing or speaking aloud as a way of expressing how much you care.
The fourth type of love style is passion. For many people, this is one of the most challenging to change and also one of the most fulfilling. Passion comes from the brain regions associated with action and sensation. This is the part of the brain where all of our instincts originate and is directly linked to the love style you have chosen to live your life in. Changing your love style to more passionate may take some time and may require that you make some changes to your habits, for example, replacing one bad habit with another.
In some cases, this might be as easy as setting aside a certain amount of time each day to spend just cuddling and being together. If you’re a couple that loves to be spontaneous, you might want to plan a weekend away. A day at the beach can be a great way to connect when you’re unable to be together. If you’re not a couple who likes to plan a big vacation, there are plenty of other things you can do to connect with your partner. Physical touch, such as holding hands, kissing, touching, hugging and others are good ways to communicate your primary love language. You can learn how to communicate in this way in a relationship counseling session.
When you learn how to say yes to your partner, you will find that the quality of your relationships will improve. It doesn’t matter if you’re a guy or a girl. You’re still connected to your partner in a fundamental way, that has to be respected. True love means saying yes to another person. If you can learn this basic relationship skill, your relationships will be more fulfilling for both you and your partner.
